CONCORD, N.C. -- Hendrick Motortsports, along with the rest of the NASCAR community, was heartbroken about the passing of FOX Sports broadcaster Steve Byrnes.
Byrnes passed away Tuesday after a valiant battle with cancer. NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France released a statement about what a privilege it was to have known Byrnes.
“His level of professionalism was matched only by the warmth he showed everyone he met," he said. "He battled cancer with tenacity, and was a true inspiration to everyone in the NASCAR family.Simply stated, we’ll miss Steve dearly."
