CONCORD, N.C. -- Due to rain in Concord, North Carolina, and possible further inclement weather incoming due to Hurricane Matthew, NASCAR has canceled all on-track activity for Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage will remain closed Friday and open at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Bank of America 500 still scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET Saturday.
The NASCAR XFINITY Series race that was scheduled for Friday will now take place on Sunday at 11 a.m.
NASCAR and Charlotte Motor Speedway will continue to monitor the weather to make any additional adjustments as necessary.
