CONCORD, N.C. -- For the second consecutive stage Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Chase Elliott took the green-checkered flag in second place.
Elliott finished Stage 2 as the runner-up, just as he did in Stage 1. Once again, it earned him nine extra points.
He was joined inside the top 10 once again by Jimmie Johnson, who improved his Stage 1 finish by two positions, ending Stage 2 in eighth.
The result earned Johnson three extra points.
Kasey Kahne finished Stage 2 in 19th, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. wasn't far behind in 21st.
The Bank of America 500 will conclude with a final, 154-lap segment.
