CONCORD, N.C. – Hendrick Motorsports CFO Scott Lampe has been elected as the vice chairman of the North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) Board of Directors, the organization announced on Tuesday. 

In the position, Lampe will work with the association’s Board of Directors to reach out to all businesses to become members and to foster collaborative efforts that sees the motor sports business stay strong across the state. He will assist in issues before legislative and regulatory agencies on the state and local levels to help address matters that impact North Carolina’s racing industry. 

NCMA executive director David Miller said of Lampe, "His immense experience, knowledge and respect in the racing industry makes him an enormous asset for the NCMA in this new position."

Lampe joined Hendrick Motorsports as controller in 1999 and served as the team’s CFO from 2005 to 2019. After working in private equity for more than two years, he returned to the team as CFO in 2022. In that role, Lampe oversees accounting, human resources, information technology, facilities, operational excellence and aviation. 

The 1995 Appalachian State University graduate's past service and honors include being named the 2010 Charlotte Business Journal CFO of the Year (large private company category), and serving on, the Appalachian State Board of Trustees, the University of North Carolina Board of Governors and the North Carolina Motorsports Advisory Council.
